About the photographer
Jens Hoyer was born in Magdeburg, Germany and is a freelance photographer. He is fascinated by the possibility, to experience captured emotions in a new way. That fits perfectly to his second passion - America's Cup racing.

The fascination with photography and the standard to always discover that special picture, has always been the deciding factor in his work. He entered into the professional world of photography after purchasing his first digital reflex camera. He began by photographing nature in action.. He later discovered that filming surfers was at least as exciting as filming nature. He then moved onto Motocross-drivers in mid flight, and since 2012, he has photographed the fastest sailing yachts and the best sailors from around the world.

The possibility of capturing the emotion of the moment, and rediscovering it in new ways, is what turned a hobby into his passion. His fotos and reports have made it into Germany's top magazines, among others, the Sailing Journal, Yachting Blue and die Welt am Sonntag.

In New York (USA), Chicago (USA) and Portsmouth (UK) he observed the World Series of the 35th America's Cup. Experience the America's Cup up close and personally through his photos: emotions, adrenalin, excitement - and the joy, elation and relief of crossing the finish line. Enjoy!
